This Admission Fee Performance was held during the opening of the Nothing Without Us About Us Show at Gallery Gachet. This show explored accessibility issues to the Vancouver Art Gallery. I believe entrance to public museums and art galleries should be free and/or by donations. Art is a means of transmitting and creating knowledge. Charging a substantial fee for entrance creates a social divide unacceptable in a democratic society.

For this performance I recreated the Vancouver Art Gallery sales receipts and price however I added a number of winter discounts that everyone would qualify for unless they were dead. Most people were surprised at first but quickly accepted the discounts.
